Disney+ has a wide selection of films to watch, including many fantastic horror and scary films that are available on Disney+ around the world as part of the Star brand.  So if you’re looking for something a little more grown-up than a Disney Channel Original Movie, Disney+ has something for you.

For some more family-friendly Halloween films, check out this top 10 list.

Here’s the rundown:

Note:  Content availability may vary between countries.

10) Books Of Blood

A journey into uncharted territory through three tales tangled in space and time. This new horror film is coming exclusively to Disney+ in many countries on Friday 29th October as a Star Original.

9)The Omen

Immediately after their miscarriage, the US diplomat Robert Thorn adopts the newborn Damien without the knowledge of his wife. Yet what he doesn’t know is that their new son is the son of the devil. A classic horror film!

8) 28 Days Later

After a mysterious virus wreaks havoc in the United Kingdom, a team of survivors tries to cope with the aftermath of the disaster and find security.  It’s probably even scarier after the last 18 months!

7) The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Sweethearts Brad and Janet, stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler. Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named ‘Rocky’. This cult classic will no doubt be on many people’s watchlist this Halloween.

6) The Village

When a willful young man tries to venture beyond his sequestered Pennsylvania hamlet, his actions set off a chain of chilling incidents that will alter the community forever. If you’ve never seen this film, don’t do any research, just jump straight in.

5) The Empty Man

Retired cop James Lasombra is asked by a friend to investigate the disappearance of her daughter, who seemingly packed in the night and left an ominous message on the bathroom mirror – “The Empty Man Made Me Do It.” As he investigates this mysterious figure further, James begins to see and hear strange things, and is forced to come to terms with his past and what it means for his future. This new horror film was only released this year and I suspect some people might have missed it.

4) Fright Night

A teenager suspects his new neighbour is a vampire. Unable to convince anyone, he tries to enlist the help of a self-proclaimed vampire hunter and magician in this remake of the 1985 comedy-horror classic. This is a fun modern vampire hunting movie that is worth checking out.

3) Jennifer’s Body

Jennifer becomes possessed and turns into a succubus after she is sacrificed to Satan. When her best friend Anita learns about it, she has to stop Jennifer before she attacks her lover Chip. This might not be the best film of all time, but its become a cult classic and a lot of fun!

2) Aliens

When Ripley’s lifepod is found by a salvage crew over 50 years later, she finds that terra-formers are on the very planet they found the alien species. When the company sends a family of colonists out to investigate her story—all contact is lost with the planet and colonists. They enlist Ripley and the colonial marines to return and search for answers. This is my personal favourite off this list.

1) The Night House

Reeling from the unexpected death of her husband, Beth (Rebecca Hall) is left alone in the lakeside home he built for her. She tries as best she can to keep together-but then the dreams come. Disturbing visions of a presence in the house call to her, beckoning with a ghostly allure. But the harsh light of day washes away any proof of a haunting. Against the advice of her friends, she begins digging into his belongings, yearning for answers.  This brand new horror film is coming to Disney+ in many countries including the UK on Wednesday 27th October, just in time for Halloween.
