In December, during Disney’s Investor Day event, Marvel Studios Kevin Fiege announced a new Disney+ series based on the comic book series, “Secret Invasion”.

No plot details have yet been announced by Disney, but the series will be based on the events of the comic book series of the same name, which saw the Skrulls operating a subversive, long-term invasion of Earth.  They are a group of alien shapeshifters who have secretly replaced many superheroes in the Marvel Universe with impostors over a period of years, prior to the overt invasion.

Recently it was revealed that Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Killian Scott and Kingsley Ben-Adir were in negotiations to star in the Disney+ series.  It has already been confirmed that Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn will be returning as Nick Fury and Talos.

THR is reporting that Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim, will be directing the “Secret Invasion” Disney+ series.

Thomas Bezucha has previously directed “Let Him Go”, and Ali Selim, has worked on Hulu’s “The Looming Tower”.

Disney hasn’t announced when the series will be coming to Disney+ yet.

Are you looking forward to “Secret Invasion”?
