Last week, the Disney Channels in Italy closed down, however one of the upcoming series,  I cavalieri di Castelcorvo, aka “The Knights of Castelcorvo”, will now be coming to Disney+.  It’s the first Italian made series for Disney+ and it will debut soon.

With streaming services in Europe requiring a percentage of content to be made within Europe, this new series will help towards that quota.  It’s unknown if this series will be made available on Disney+ in other countries.

The series was filmed in Rome and in small villages of Lazio.   The show will focus on a brother & sister called, Riccardo and Giulia, aged 11 and 13.  They have to move to Castelcorvo to stay with their Aunt Margherita to attend school.  They meet two other children, Matteo and Betta, who go on to become the “The Knights of Castelcorvo” and face a number of challenges including magic puzzles, keys and board games, witches and places outside of time and space.

More Disney+ Original series are also being produced in other countries, including a show featuring popular Latin couple Sebastian Yatra and Tini Stoessel.

Would you be interested in more international shows being available on Disney+ ?

It would be nice to see this series be brought to all the other versions of the service as a way to show creativity from different voices all over the world.

I would be happy if the series started internationally on Disney Plus. I would also love it if there were more Disney Plus Originals productions from Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, which are then also added internationally with dubbings and subtitles. I would also like to see Disney Plus add even more of the existing Disney productions from the above continents internationally.
