Disney has announced its lineup of titles coming to Disney+ in the United Kingdom and Ireland, one of the titles announced is the animated series “Star Wars: Droids”, which will be released on Friday 18th June.

“Star Wars: Droids – The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO” is a 1985 animated television series spin-off from the original Star Wars trilogy. It focuses on the exploits of droids R2-D2 and C-3PO between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Anthony Daniels returned to the role of C-3PO.

While “Star Wars: Droids” wasn’t included in the US lineup for June, it’s likely to be announced at a later date.

Last month, Disney released a new Star Wars Vintage Collection on Disney+ that includes other classic Star Wars content like the “Ewoks” films and movies. Disney did confirm that “Star Wars: Droids” would be released at a later date.
