Star Wars: The Mandalorian has already proven itself to be a huge draw for subscribers to Disney+ and is wowing audiences each week.  Disney have already announced there are new series based on Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Rogue One prequel and a second series of the Mandalorian.

And now the latest rumors from Star Wars Unity, is that the very popular comic book character, Doctor Aphra, could be getting her own Disney+ series or feature in another Star Wars series with other characters.

She is a morally questionable, criminal archaeologist who was initially employed by Darth Vader, but later had to go into hiding from him. She is the first original Star Wars character not from the films to lead a Marvel comic series.

The character also has her own team, including villain versions of R2D2 and C3PO, called 0-0-0 and BT-1, plus she is joined by a Wookiee bounty hunter called Black Krrsantan, and kid sidekick called Vulaada Klam.  This team could be an interesting Disney+ series, but for now we still need to keep this in the rumor zone.

What do you think of Doctor Aphra getting her own series on Disney+?

With the right actors and a good writer this could be great. Even miss the mark by a little and it could be very cringey, though

This might be tough to pull off right - the balance of a morally grey character can be hard to maintain. But it'd allow Darth Vader to be involved in a series that n a way that feels authentic (as long as he didn't overshadow the while thing). I think it's a good idea. But it also would be smart to step a little farther out from the standard characters in the same way the Mandalorian has. Eh, I guess I'd watch this if they made it, but would be just as happy if they did something based a time period several hundred years before Anakin was born.
