There have been many rumours over the past year about potential upcoming Star Wars series for Disney+ and according to We Got This Covered, Disney are working on a series based on the bounty hunter Boba Fett.

No details have officially been revealed but there have been rumors of a Boba Fett Movie for years, which was thought to be part of the “A Star Wars Story” series, which also featured Solo and Rogue One.

However following the box office failure of Solo: A Star Wars Story, these spinoff movies have apparently been put on hold and shifted sideways onto Disney+ for further exploration.

The character originally appeared in “Empire Strikes Back” and “died” during “Return Of The Jedi”. With further appearances in “Revenge of the Sith” and “The Clone Wars” animated series. Boba Fett is an unaltered clone of Jango Fett, who is a Mandalorian.

Disney’s first Star Wars series is “The Mandalorian” is due to arrive on Disney+ on November 12th. Very little is known about this character and the series, so it’s possible there is a connection with Boba Fett, or if a further season of the show will cross over, should Boba Fett have escaped the Sarlacc Pit. Sadly it might be a while until we know, since another series based on Captain Cassian Andor from Rogue One has been confirmed and production on that series doesn’t begin until later this year.
