One of the many Star Wars projects announced during last years Investors Day event was a “Mandalorian” spin-off series featuring Ahsoka Tano, which will see Rosario Dawson return in the lead role.
According to The Bespin Bulletin, Disney and Lucasfilm are aiming to release the “Ahsoka” series on Disney+ in Spring 2023.
There have been lots of rumours recently suggesting that the show will begin shooting sometime in early 2022. Giving them plenty of time to get the filming completed and to create the special effects.
Recently, “Ahsoka” star Rosario Dawson took to Instagram to welcome back Hayden Christensen to the Star Wars, but her post was quickly deleted. Leading many to speculate that Hayden Christensen will also be returning for some scenes in the upcoming series. Hayden Christensen is returning to play the role of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the forthcoming “Obi-Wan Kenobi” Disney+, so it wouldn’t be a massive surprise for “Ahsoka” to include flashbacks or a force-ghost appearance since he was Ahsoka’s, Jedi Master.
While that series might be a while off, in 2022, we’ve still got multiple new Star Wars series heading to Disney+, including “Andor”, “Obi-Wan”, and the “Book Of Boba Fett”. A third season of “The Mandalorian” is also currently filming.
Are you looking forward to “Ahsoka” arriving on Disney+?
