There are lots of great new Star Originals coming to Disney+ in November which include new episodes of “Y: The Last Man”, “Hit-Monkey” and “Dopesick”.

Unlike Disney+ Originals, the availability of Star Originals can vary between countries due to pre-existing streaming contracts. These are also usually available on Hulu in the United States and will be coming to Star+ in Latin America.

These Star Originals are only available on Disney+ in these selected countries.  Shows that have previously been released on other platforms such as “American Horror Story”, “The Simpsons” or “Grey’s Anatomy” which are exclusive to Disney+ in some countries, aren’t considered a Star Original.


Here’s a look at some of the “Star Originals” coming in November:


Dopesick (UK/Ireland/Canada/Australia/New Zealand)

This new limited series examines how one company triggered the worst drug epidemic in American history. The series takes viewers to the epicenter of America’s struggle with opioid addiction, from the boardrooms of Big Pharma, to a distressed Virginia mining community, to the hallways of the DEA. Defying all the odds, heroes will emerge in an intense and thrilling ride to take down the craven corporate forces behind this national crisis and their allies.


This new Original series is coming to Disney+ internationally in the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand on Disney+, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday’s afterwards.


Marvel’s Hit-Monkey (UK/Ireland/Canada/Australia/New Zealand)

The upcoming Marvel animated series “Hit Monkey” tells the story of a Japanese snow monkey who seeks vengeance after his tribe is slaughtered. He joins forces with the ghost of an American assassin and together, they begin killing their way through the Yakuza underworld. The series features the vocal talents of George Takei, Jason Sudeikis, Olivia Munn, Ally Maki, Nobi Nakanishi and Fred Tatasciore.

This new original series is coming Disney+ internationally in the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand from November 17th.



The Premise (UK/Ireland)

The Premise is a fearlessly ambitious new series that uses comedy to engage with the biggest issues of our unprecedented modern era. Created and hosted by B.J. Novak, joined by an extraordinary group of actors and collaborators, The Premise adds Ben Platt, Tracee Ellis Ross, Daniel Dae Kim, Lola Kirke, Soko, Jermaine Fowler, Ayo Edebiri, Eric Lange and more to the previously announced cast, which included Lucas Hedges, Kaitlyn Dever, Jon Bernthal, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Ed Asner, George Wallace, Boyd Holbrook and Beau Bridges, among others. The Premise combines daring comedic premises with equally daring dramatic performances, creating a new tone for a new time.

The first two episodes are being released on Disney+ on Wednesday 3rd November 2021, with new episodes being released every Wednesday.


The Choe Show – (UK/Ireland)

In “The Choe Show,” world-renowned artist David Choe turns his eccentric, compassionate and disruptive worldview into a lens for an audience to experience a radical empathy for others. From the walls of his childhood home, Choe takes his guests on a journey where he is a motivational interviewer and compassionate listener. He uses the acts of art and play as Choe and his guests depart on a journey of shared emotional experience. It is through their bonded and authentic connection that Choe is able to bring forth an of-the-moment honesty.

This FX series will be coming exclusively to Disney+ on Wednesday 24th November 2021.



Reservation Dogs – (UK/Ireland)

From Co-Creators and Executive Producers Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi, Reservation Dogs is a half-hour comedy that follows the exploits of four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma who steal, rob and save in order to get to the exotic, mysterious and faraway land of California.

The last episodes of Reservation Dogs are coming to Disney+ in November

 


Y- The Last Man (UK/Ireland)

Based on DC Comics’ acclaimed series by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, the drama “Y: The Last Man” traverses a post-apocalyptic world in which a cataclysmic event decimates every mammal with a Y chromosome but for one cisgender man and his pet monkey. The series follows the survivors in this new world as they struggle with their efforts to restore what was lost and build something better.

The final two episodes are coming to Disney+ in November.



The Great North- (UK/Ireland/Canada)

Following the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family, as a single dad, Beef, does his best to keep his weird bunch of kids close — especially his only daughter, Judy, whose artistic dreams lead her away from the family fishing boat and into the glamorous world of the local mall. Rounding out the family are Judy’s older brother, Wolf, and his fiancé, Honeybee, her middle brother, Ham, and 10-year-old-going-on-50 little brother, Moon. While their mother is not in the picture, Judy seeks guidance from her new boss, Alyson, and her imaginary friend, Alanis Morissette, who appears to her in the northern lights.

New episodes are being released on Disney+ every Wednesday throughout November
