There are lots of great new Star Originals coming to Disney+ in June which include new episodes of Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K, Big Sky, and Rebel. Plus there will be other new shows heading to Disney+ as “Star Originals” around the world, including the second season of “Love, Victor”.

Unlike Disney+ Originals, the availability of Star Originals can vary between countries due to pre-existing streaming contracts.

Here’s a look at some of the “Star Originals” coming in June:



Love Victor – Season 2 (UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand/Canada)

The popular teen dramedy returns as season two finds a newly out-of-the-closet Victor entering his junior year at Creekwood High. But being out brings with it new challenges as Victor faces a family struggling with his revelation, a heartbroken ex-girlfriend in Mia, and the difficulties of being an openly gay star athlete — all while navigating the excitement of his relationship with Benji.

The series stars Michael Cimino, Rachel Hilson, Anthony Turpel, Bebe Wood, Mason Gooding, George Sear, Isabella Ferreira, Mateo Fernandez, James Martinez and Ana Ortiz.


The first episode of the second season will arrive on Disney+ on Friday 18th June, with new episodes dropping weekly afterwards.


Genius: Aretha (UK/Ireland)

The third season explores Aretha Franklin’s musical genius and incomparable career, as well as the immeasurable impact and lasting influence she has had on music and culture around the world. Grammy Award winner Franklin was a gospel prodigy and outspoken civil rights champion; she is widely considered to be the greatest singer of the past 50 years, receiving countless honors throughout her career.

Two new episodes a week will be released on Disney+ in the United Kingdom and Ireland throughout June.



M.O.D.O.K – (UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand/Canada)

While pursuing his dream of conquering the world, a megalomaniacal supervillain runs his evil organization into the ground.

New episodes begin to arrive weekly on Disney+ on Friday 21st May.


PRIDE (UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand)

In PRIDE, from Emmy Award-winning Killer Films (This American Life, Mildred Pierce) and Sundance World Cinema Grand Jury Prize winning VICE Studios (Flee, The Report), six renowned LGBTQ+ directors explore heroic and heartbreaking stories that define America as a nation. The limited series spans the FBI surveillance of homosexuals during the 1950s Lavender Scare to the “Culture Wars” of the 1990s and beyond, exploring the queer legacy of the Civil Rights movement and the battle over marriage equality. Featuring little-known characters such as Madeleine Tress or 1980s videographer Nelson Sullivan who chronicled a vanishing downtown New York City during the AIDS epidemic, the series also features international figures such as Civil Rights pioneer Bayard Rustin, writer Audre Lord and Senators Tammy Baldwin and Lester Hunt. The evolution of trans rights and identities through the decades is charted through interviews and archival footage of pioneers including Christine Jorgensen, Flawless Sabrina, Ceyenne Doroshow, Susan Stryker, Kate Bornstein, Dean Spade and Raquel Willis. 

All six episodes will be released at once onto Disney+ on Friday 25th June.



Big Sky (UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand)

Storyteller David E. Kelly (“Big Little Lies”) presents a series about private detectives Cassie Dewell and Cody Hoyt, who join forces with Cody’s estranged wife and ex-cop, Jenny Hoyt, to search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. When they discover that these are not the only girls who have disappeared in the area, they must race against the clock to stop the killer before another woman is taken. Based on the series of books by C.J. Box, the series stars Katheryn Winnick, Kylie Bunbury and Ryan Phillippe.

New episodes of Big Sky will be dropping onto Disney+ throughout June.


The Gloaming (UK/Ireland)

When a woman is murdered, troubled cop Molly McGee discovers a link to a 20-year-old cold case.

New episodes will be dropping onto Disney+ in the UK and Ireland every Friday from June 11th.



Grown-ish – Season 3 – (UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand/Canada)

A contemporary take on the current issues facing both students and administrators in the world of higher education. Yara Shahidi portrays Zoey – Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow’s (Tracee Ellis Ross) popular, entitled, stylish and socially active 17-year-old daughter — as she heads off to college and quickly discovers that not everything goes her way once she leaves the nest. Yara is joined by ”black-ish”’s Deon Cole (Charlie) who portrays Charlie, Dre’s eccentric and unpredictable co-worker at Stevens & Lido. Zoey runs into Charlie during college orientation where she learns that he moonlights as an adjunct marketing professor. Arlook will portray Miriam, a freshman know-it-all at Southern California University with a no-holds-barred attitude. Parnell will portray the dean of Southern California University, and Jackson will portray a socially conscious sophomore at Southern California University.

New episodes are dropping weekly throughout June.


Rebel (UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand)

Inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich today, Annie “Rebel” Bello is a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree. She’s a funny, messy, brilliant and fearless woman who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves. When Rebel applies herself to a fight she believes in, she will win at almost any cost.

New episodes will be dropping onto Disney+ every Friday throughout June.



Mixed-Ish – Season 2 (Australia/New Zealand)

From the creators of “black-ish,” season two of “mixed-ish” will continue to tell the story of a young Rainbow Johnson and her family as they recount the experience of being a mixed-race family in the ’80s and the dilemmas they face as they navigate a world where the kids are perceived as neither black nor white. While the parents deal with the social dynamics of fitting into the suburbs, Rainbow and her siblings find themselves figuring out how to fit in when everyone else can’t decide where they belong.

New episodes will be released weekly on Disney+ in Australia/New Zealand


Filthy Rich (UK/Ireland)

A Southern Gothic family drama in which wealth, power and religion intersect — more correctly, collide — with outrageously soapy results. Meet the Monreauxes, a mega-rich Southern family famed for creating a successful Christian television network. On the cusp of launching a digital retail arm of the company, the family’s patriarch, Eugene, dies in a plane crash, leaving his wife, Margaret, to take charge of the family business. Not surprisingly, Eugene’s apparent death greatly impacts the family, who are stunned to learn that Eugene fathered three illegitimate children, all of whom are written into his will. Now, Margaret must use her business savvy and Southern charm to control her newly legitimized heirs, whose very existence threatens the Monreaux family name and fortune.

The last remaining episodes will be dropping onto Disney+ in early June.
