December was a huge month for Disney+, with both “Star Wars: The Mandalorian” and “Soul” being two of the biggest streaming titles across Disney+, Apple TV+, Hulu, Prime Video and Netflix in December.

According to some new data from 7Park Data via Variety, “The Mandalorian” reached nearly 28% of 7Park Data panel members in December, with “Soul” coming in just under that, at about 27%.

When compared to other 7Park Data panel members, these Disney+ titles reached twice as many people as Netflix’s “Christmas Chronicles” (12%) and “Bridgerton” (11%).

While in the cross-platform audience share ranking chart for December, featured four Disney+ titles in the top 10 including “Mandalorian”, “Soul”, “Mulan” and “Godmothered”

Another measurement used to determine the popularity of a streaming title is by how long they watched a film or series, which in December saw two Netflix titles just edge “Soul” and “The Mandalorian” off the top, but only by a small percentage.

7Park Data tabulates its data by measuring the SVOD viewership of over 15,000 U.S. households that occur on connected TVs (i.e. Roku, et al.). Mobile viewership is not reflected in 7Park’s data and members must have watched two minutes of a title in December to be counted in the December cross-platform ranking.

This data shows that Disney+ is really starting to hit its stride with more content becoming available on Disney+ to have one of the most popular series of December, along with the most-watched movie of December.

Did you watch either “Soul” or “The Mandalorian” in December on Disney+?
