Disney+ is launching in South Korea this coming Friday and one of the biggest releases of the year will be “Snowdrop”, which stars Blackpink’s Jisoo.

South Korean television network JTBC has announced that the k-drama will be released on December 18 at 10:30 pm KST and will also be released on Disney+ in South Korea. “Snowdrop” is expected to run until March 2022. No international release details have been announced yet.

“Snowdrop” follows two students, who will be played by Jisoo and Jung Hae-in, that are caught up in a whirlwind romance in South Korea. The television series is set in 1987, a pivotal year in the country’s history that saw a nationwide mass movement that forced the ruling government to hold elections.

Jung will portray a graduate student with a secret past, while Jisoo plays a university student who lives in an all-female dormitory. The two cross paths when Jung’s character seeks refuge in a female dormitory after a protest at the Hosoo Women’s University.

Are you looking forward to “Snowdrop” arriving on Disney+?
