Searchlight Pictures upcoming film “The French Dispatch” has been officially selected for the 74th edition of the Festival de Cannes, which is going to be taking place from July 6th to the 17th. The film will be getting its premiere during the event.
“The French Dispatch” brings to life a collection of stories from the final issue of an American magazine published in a fictional 20th-century French city.
It stars Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson.
The film will be released first in cinemas on 22nd October, before it can be released on Disney+ internationally. Due to pre-existing contracts, it will have to be released on HBO Max before it can be added to Hulu.
