One of the most requested Disney Junior shows people ask about coming to Disney+ is “Rolie Polie Olie”, which aired on Playhouse Disney in the United States in 1998.  The show ran for six seasons and had 74 episodes.

This CG-animated series depicts the hilarious childhood of Olie, a young robot who lives in a magical, futuristic, all-robot world of blue skies and happy, helpful machines – where virtually everything from baby carriages to spaceships comes to life.

The shows creator William Joyce, recently took to Twitter to confirm that he is working on new episodes of the show and also replied to multiple tweets reconfirming they are working on new episodes.

Hopefully, this means these new episodes, in addition to the classic episodes, will be heading to Disney+ soon.

However, there is an issue with “Rolie Polie Olie”. While Disney has distribution rights for the United States, the international distribution rights belong to Nelvana International, which is owned by Corus Entertainment.

Disney could have still sorted out a new deal for both the new episodes and classic episodes for a global release.
