Last year, Disney announced a new Marvel series based on Loki, would be coming to the new streaming service, Disney+.   Today, the Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Michael Waldon has joined the project as the showrunner.

He will also write the pilot episode and act as the show creator, as well as executive producing the series.   Michael Waldon has worked as a writer on the “Rick and Morty” show.

While Loki looks to have died during the events of Avengers: Infinity War, there are many rumors about how this new series will present Tom Hiddleston’s Loki.  Some suggest it will see a younger actor take on the role, similar to the Kid Loki comic book story, while other sources have said that show will follow Loki as the trickster and shapeshifter pops up throughout human history as unlikely influencer on historical events.

Are you excited for the new Loki series?
