In January, one of Disney’s existing streaming deals comes to an end when Mary Poppins Returns leaves Netflix in the US and Canada on January 9th 2021.

This deal saw all Disney film releases between 2016 and 2018 go to Netflix after their cinema/home video release.   However, Mary Poppins Returns, along with other films releases during those two years, it’s expected to return to Netflix later in the decade due to an existing second window contract.

Mary Poppins Returns coming to Disney+ in the United States and Canada on Friday January 15th

In the film, bank teller Michael Banks, who is now an adult with three children, learns that his house will be repossessed in five days unless he can pay back a loan. His only hope is to find a missing certificate that shows proof of valuable shares that his father left him years earlier. Just as all seems lost, Michael and his sister receive the surprise of a lifetime when Mary Poppins — the beloved nanny from their childhood — arrives to save the day and take the Banks family on a magical, fun-filled adventure.

Mary Poppins Returns already available on Disney+ in some countries such as the UK and Australia.
