Following the huge success of the first season of Marvel Studios “Loki”, the show is returning for a second season and according to Production List, filming is due to begin on the second season on Monday 6th June 2022 in London, England.

This lines up with what Tom Hiddleston said recently during an interview with The Playlist , that filming would kick off in like six weeks.

It’s likely that we won’t see the second season of “Loki” on Disney+ until 2023.  The first season finished filming in December 2020 and was released on Disney+ over 6 months later in June 2021, as the series will have needed lots of post-production to do all of the special effects etc.

Disney recently announced that it was bringing forward the release date of “Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania” to February 17th 2023.  The third instalment in the Ant-Man franchise sees Paul Rudd reprising his role as Ant-Man (Scott Lang), alongside Evangeline Lilly as Wasp (Hope Van Dyne). Joining them are returning cast members Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym, and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne — aka, Hope’s parents. Kathryn Newton joins the cast of as Cassie Lang, the daughter of Scott Lang.

Additionally, Jonathan Majors, previously seen on Marvel Studios’ “Loki” as He Who Remains, will portray Kang the Conqueror.  So this could have an impact on the release of the second season of “Loki”.

The second season of “Loki” will be directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who has directed Marvel’s “Moon Knight”.

The first season of “Loki” is available to stream now on Disney+
