Disney has announced a major shakeup of its release schedules and will be releasing new episodes of Marvel’s Loki on Wednesday’s rather than the traditional Friday’s.

It also means we are getting the first episode a few days earlier on Wednesday 9th June.

Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new Disney+ series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs “Loki,” and Michael Waldron is head writer.

In a social media video, Loki actor Tom Hiddleston says “Wednesday’s are the new Friday’s”.

With multiple Disney+ Originals dropping every Friday, this will result in shows getting a little bit more time to shine.

What do you think of “Loki” episodes coming out on Wednesday’s?

That's awesome it can be tough to decide what to watch on Fridays with everything coming on the same day

Wednesday comes from "Woden's Day". Wooden being a variation on Odin's name. So Loki is releasing on his adopted father's day rather than Friday which comes from his adopted mother Frigg.
