During Disney’s last Investor Day event in December, Marvel Studios announced a brand new live-action series for Disney+ featuring “Ironheart”.

Ironheart will star Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a 15-year-old genius inventor who creates the most advanced suit of armour since Iron Man. The character was created in 2016 by writers Brian Michael Bendis, and artist Mike Deodato.

Variety is reporting that Chinaka Hodge will be serving as the head writer on the Disney+ series. She has previously written Apple’s “Amazing Stories” and TNT’s “Snowpiercer”.

The news hasn’t been officially announced by Marvel.

Snowpiercer is a good show. But this is such a terrible character to focus on. And such a disappointing choice given the myriad of other characters Marvel could have introduced from 70+ years of comics.
