2021 has been a huge year for Disney+, with five major series from Marvel Studios being released exclusively on the streaming service.  These five shows, which include “WandaVision”, “Loki”, “The Falcon And The Winter Soldier”, “What If?” and “Hawkeye”, were massively popular, with millions of Disney+ subscribers checking out these new shows around the world.

However, not everyone who watched these shows, saw them on Disney+.   According to a recent article from TorrentFreak, these five shows have been the most pirated series in 2021, with “WandaVision” topping the chart.

The top ten most pirated series of the year include:

  1. WandaVision
  2. Loki
  3. The Witcher
  4. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
  5. Hawkeye
  6. What If…?
  7. Foundation
  8. Rick and Morty
  9. Arcane
  10. Wheel of Time

There are multiple reasons why people pirate shows, sometimes it comes down to cost, where people don’t want to pay for a subscription service or refuse to have multiple subscriptions.

But it’s important to note that for many countries around the world, the only way to watch some of these shows was through piracy, as Disney+ isn’t legally available in many countries throughout Africa, Europe, Asia and in the Middle East.  With these shows being pivotal to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it also encourages people to watch the shows through piracy.

As Disney+ launches in more countries, it should become easier for more people around the world to watch Marvel’s original series legally on Disney+ at an affordable rate.

All five of the Marvel Studios series are available to stream on Disney+!

Streaming services need to try and work on global releases in countries if they want to stop piracy don't know what I would do if Disney+ wasn't available in Ireland as I watch all MCU stuff so if I had to wait for shows to be released due to licensing agreements and didn't get the chance to watch them before the newest movie probably would stop watching them all together

It's a different matter if a user is in a country where Disney+ or another streaming service isn't available yet and there are no legal means to view any of these TV shows yet. However some of the people pirating these TV shows will be in countries where Disney+ is available, but are freeloaders who don't want to spend any money at all. It's also worth noting that people don't need to have every streaming service at the same time, there's a reason why streaming services don't require contracts unlike traditional pay TV services.

I honestly think Disney+ just needs to release their digital content on DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital purchase websites such as VUDU, Google Play, and other platforms that allow to buy. Not many people can afford Disney+. If you get what i mean kind of
