Disney has announced that a number of 20th Century Studios Marvel movies will be heading to Disney+ in the US this summer, as part of their “Summer of Movies” promotion.

These popular Marvel movies will be released throughout July, August and September.  The line up includes:


Friday, July 10th

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” – The unstoppable characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves in an epic struggle to change the past and save our future.


Friday, July 17th

“X-Men: Apocalypse” – Apocalypse, the most powerful mutant in the universe, tries to destroy all of mankind. To save humanity, Professor X leads the X-Men in a showdown that will determine the fate of the world.


Friday, August 7th

“X-Men” – The X-Men, a group of mutants with extraordinary powers, wage a fight against both intolerance, and a fellow band of radical mutants intent on exterminating the human race.


Friday, August 28th

“Fantastic Four” (2005) – Transformed into superheroes after surviving a disaster in space, The Fantastic Four struggle to reconcile their powers, responsibilities and relationships as a dysfunctional family. Overcoming their personal conflicts, they finally join forces to defeat Dr. Doom, the malevolent, metallic embodiment of their treacherous former patron


Friday, September 4

“The Wolverine” – The Wolverine returns to face his ultimate nemesis in an action packed battle that takes him to modern day Japan; an epic fight that will change him forever.

Having more Marvel movies added to Disney+ throughout the summer is going to be great for superhero fans and also “Ant-Man and the Wasp” will also be added to Disney+ on Friday, August 14th, just after it leaves Netflix.

Many of these Marvel movies have already been made available in some other countries.

    So are we going with a pattern of 2 Marvel Fox movies every month? Should we expect X-2 or Fantastic Four: RotSS as the second movie in September? And does that mean X-3 and First class come in October or will they be saved for another time? I doubt Deadpool and Logan will show up on D+ any time soon so what does that leave with? Origins: Wolverine? Does that cover everything? Wait- Is that old tv show about mutants on Disney+ already? The one from early 2000s.
