Recently, it was revealed that Marvel Studios has created a brand new mini studio to handle its new animation projects, which will follow their first series, “What If?”, which is currently being released weekly on Disney+.

New early details on a potential upcoming Marvel animated series have recently been revealed by industry insider Daniel RPK.

A brand new animated series for Disney+ has already been greenlit and has received an eight 30 minute episode order.  Marvel has also specifically requested a female writer to lead the series.

While no exact details have been revealed about what this upcoming series is going to be about, the early plot details will see the series follow a protagonist who will reportedly be a teenager (aged between 14-16), and her brother as they travel on a road trip/mission of some sort following the death of their father. They’ll be accompanied by an artificially intelligent character.

During the series, the three characters are expected to encounter “interesting and fun” situations that further an overarching plot of the series, that will bring them all together.   Its tone resembles “Avatar: The Last Airbender”.  Also, while the series will focus on teenagers, the series isn’t aimed directly at teenagers (much like Spider-Man or Ms Marvel).

It’s important to note that nothing has officially been announced by Marvel or Disney regarding this project.

What do you think this new Marvel animated series could be?
