Disney held a special preview screening of the new Disney+ series “Loki” in London on Tuesday night, which saw two episodes shown on a unique four-sided cube screen that resembled the Tesseract.
Following the screening of the first episode, Loki himself, Tom Hiddleston, surprised audiences and introduced another surprise guest, co-star Sophia Di Martino. Becca Dudley hosted a Q&A with the pair, and then audiences were further surprised when they were treated to the second episode of the 6-part weekly series. Check out my spoiler-free review of these two episodes.
I was also at the event and all UK COVID-19 protocols were adhered to for the event, which meant that we all had to wear our masks throughout, other than when we ate the nibbles that had been placed in small trays under our seats or drinking a drink.
The audience included 40 NHS nurses, volunteers and their guests who gave unwavering support to the charity MediCinema during COVID-19, mainly from London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. These special guests were invited by Disney+ and MediCinema to thank them for their tireless work during the pandemic and also for additionally taking care of patients at socially-distanced film screenings in the hospital cinemas run by MediCinema. Multiple times throughout the event, the audience gave a huge clap for the NHS nurses to show their appreciation of their service during the pandemic.
Also attending the event were some special fans who dressed up as characters from the Thor movies.
Here are some official photos from the event:
