Disney is slowly putting together its new “Hulurious” comedy brand, which kicks off in November with a Jim Gaffigan special.  It will be followed by a new monthly comedy special, with many comedians on board for the project, including Bill Burr, Roy Wood Jr., Ilana Glazer, and Atsuko Okatsuka.

These new stand-up specials will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ internationally.

It’s been revealed that comedian Jessica Kirson is also joining the lineup, with a brand new hour of stand-up comedy, which will be her second special.

Jessica Kirson said in a statement to THR regarding the new special:

“I am honored to be a part of the Disney family and that Hulu has chosen to feature my next special as part of their comedy initiative.  People always ask me ‘is it hard to be a female comedian?’ I always say, ‘I don’t know; you should ask them.’”

Jessica has previously appeared on HBO’s “Crashing”, FX’s “Hysterical” and CBS’s “Kevin Can Wait”,

No release date for the Jessica Kirson special has been announced yet.  With the amount of standup specials already announced, it’s likely Jessica’s won’t be arriving for a while.

Roger’s Take: Disney is slowly putting together its “Hularious” lineup, which will offer some competition to Netflix and offer more variety for subscribers.
