Earlier this week, Lucasfilm released new casting details on the upcoming Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ Series, which will see Ewan McGregor return to our screens as Obi-Wan Kenobi and see Hayden Christensen return in the role of Darth Vader.

The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith”, where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Recently Jar Jar Binks actor, Ahmed Best, took to social media to confirm that he won’t be returning to the role for the Disney+ series.

Thanks for the love, but I will not be in this series. As much as I would’ve loved to be a part of it. But I’m ecstatic to see folks who I love dearly back together doing great things.

After Ahmed shared cast details of the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series, he also responded to a fan who hopes to see more Jar Jar in the future.

“I don’t know how likely either of those will be, but it brings me joy to know that I’ve brought joy to the galaxy.”

Ahmed Best recently hosted a Star Wars game show series, “Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge”, which was released on YouTube last year.  Originally this series was going to be a Disney+ Original.

Would you like to see Jar Jar Binks return to our screens?
