Spanish Disney fans who currently use Movistar+ should be able to subscribe to Disney+, similar to how Netflix is available within the Movistar+ service.  However Spanish Disney fans should still be able to subscribe independently, who don’t have Movistar+

Movistar have already have an agreement with Disney for content it, such as it launching a special Christmas themed pop-up channel and having a Disney movie channel on its traditional pay-tv service.

Nothing has officially been announced yet regarding Disney+ launching in Spain, but these international deals with help secure additional subscribers in Spain and making sure subscribers can use different platforms and apps like Movistar will help with that.

Last year, it was revealed that due to European laws, Disney+ would face some restrictions in Europe, where it would have to have 30% of its content created in the continent in order to fulfill the European Union rules.    Disney’s Kevin Mayer spoke last year about Disney+ launching in France after the US has launched, due to creating some new exclusive content for France.   So it’s still unclear if Disney+ will launch in Spain this year as well.

Will you be using Movistar+ to access Disney+ ?
