Ever since Disney took control of Lucasfilm back in 2012, there has been plans for a fifth Indiana Jones movie starring Harrison Ford, with Disney announcing they would be making a new movie back in 2016:

“Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019,” said Alan Horn, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios. “It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”

Originally the movie was due out this summer, but it has been delayed multiple times, however Disney confirmed that the movie would be released in cinemas on July 9th 2021, so should be coming to Disney+ in early 2022.

While promoting the opening of the new Star Wars themed land, “Galaxy’s Edge” in Disneyland this past week, Harrison Ford confirmed to Variety that “should be starting to shoot sometime next week.”  And that “I’m looking forward to it” and “Things are coming along well.”
