Later this year, Marvel Studios next Disney+ series “Ms Marvel” is due to arrive on the streaming platform and while we saw a “sizzle reel” at last years Investors Day event, we’ve not heard anything about the show officially.

During a recent interview with Variety, Iman Vellani , who is playing Kamala Kahn, spoke about playing the character for the first time and about the pressure of portraying MCU’s first Muslim hero.

”The fact that the show is being made and they’re including this character in the MCU is [what’s important]. I don’t really have to go out of my way and talk about being a Muslim and being Pakistani — it all comes out in the show. People seeing a person like me involved in a project as big as this is, I think, inspiring enough.”

Little is known about the plot of the upcoming Disney+ series, but hopefully, we will find out something about this series soon.

The cast of “Ms Marvel” also includes Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer and Nimra Bucha.  The new Disney+ will have episodes directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

While there have been reports of Ms Marvel being delayed into 2022, officially, the series is still scheduled to be released later this year on Disney+ after “What If?” and before “Hawkeye”, which is coming to Disney+ in November.

Are you looking forward to the release of “Ms Marvel”?
