Disney is utilising the power of Facebook and YouTube to promote its streaming services, according to a new report from digital video measurement company Tubular Labs.

Here are some info graphs showcasing how Disney+ compares to other streaming networks:

Compilation videos are the main focus of Disney+ promotional videos, which utilise the vast array of franchises that are available on Disney+.  Though other forms of videos are also used, such as trailers and clips.

The use of social media video by Disney+ has grown over the past year, which makes sense since Disney+ didn’t launch until November, so between the launch period and promoting new content, it’s use of SVOD would naturally have grown.

The use of social media to drive more subscribers is something all streaming platforms have been using and shows no sign of slowing down.
