At last years D23 Expo, Lucasfilm’s Katherine Kennedy announced a new Star Wars series featuring Obi-Wan Kenobi would be coming to Disney+ and see Ewan McGregor return in the title role.   The latest rumor about this series from

It’s unknown in what capacity this role could be, either as a flashback scene or dream sequence, since the series set 8 years after the events of “Revenge of the Sith”, which is when Anakin became Darth Vader.  Alternatively, Hayden Christensen could just be providing some voice work for the series, which he also did for “The Rise Of Skywalker”.

This new Obi-Wan series is due to begin production in early 2021 and will see Deborah Chow acting as the showrunner for the six-episode series.  She can currently be seen in the new Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian series, that goes behind the scenes of the Disney+ series.
