Disney has announced that the second season of National Geographic’s drama series “Genuis” will be coming to Disney+ in Canada on Friday 19th March.

Season 2 of the Emmy-nominated series “Genius” tells the story behind Pablo Picasso, one of the 20th century’s most influential, controversial, and celebrated artists. Also explored are the muses who inspired him. The series stars Antonio Banderas in the titular role; hourlong episodes explore how the Spanish-born Picasso’s passion and creativity were inseparably linked to his personal life, which included tumultuous marriages, numerous affairs, and constantly shifting political and personal alliances. This season consists of 10 episodes.

Each season of “Genius” focuses on a different person. The third season is based on Athera Franklin and will be coming to Hulu and National Geographic in March. It will then be released on Disney+ as a “Star Original” this summer. The fourth season will be based on the life of Martin Luther King Jr and will be released as a Disney+ Original.

Both seasons 1 and 2 are currently available on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ in Australia/New Zealand.
