Disney has announced that the first two seasons of Genius will be released on Disney+ in the United Kingdom and Ireland on Friday 23rd April.

The series follows the life stories of history’s greatest minds. From their days as young adults to their final years we see their discoveries, loves, relationships, causes, flaws and genius.

Season one charts how Albert Einstein—an imaginative, rebellious patent clerk, who couldn’t get a teaching job or a doctorate—unlocked the mysteries of the atom and the universe. Based on Walter Isaacson’s critically acclaimed book “Einstein: His Life and Universe.”

Season two explores how the passionate nature and relentless creative drive of Picasso—a Spanish-born painter, sculptor, poet and playwright—were inextricably linked to his personal life, which included tumultuous marriages, numerous affairs and constantly shifting political and personal alliances.

Seasons one and two are already on Disney+ in some countries including Australia. They are available on Hulu in the United States. Season 3 will be looking at the life of Aretha Franklin and will be coming to Disney+ as a “Star Original” in June. With the fourth season will look at the life of Martin Luther King Jr and will be a Disney+ Original globally.

Are you looking forward to seeing the first two seasons of “Genius” on Disney+?
