Marvel Studios is currently developing a brand new Halloween special for Disney+ based on “Werewolf By Night”. According to The Wrap, Golden Globe-winning Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal will be playing the lead role.

In the comic books, two different characters have been “Werewolf At Night”, Jack Russell was the original version, first introduced in the 1970s in an episode of “Moon Knight”. So could the character be introduced in the upcoming Disney+ series, starring Oscar Isaac. While the other character known as “Werewolf By Night” in the comic books is Jake Gomez, a member of the Hopi Native American tribe whose family has been cursed with lycanthropy, comes in conflict with a nefarious pharmaceutical company exploiting members of the tribe.
It’s currently unknown if Gael will be playing in this Disney+ project.

The currently untitled Halloween Marvel Special is due to begin production in early 2022.


Gael Garcia Bernal has previously starred in M. Night Shyamalan’s “Old,” “Ema”, and “Wasp Network”.

Marvel hasn’t officially announced its working on “Werewolf At Night”, which could be revealed as early as next week as part of the Disney+ Day celebrations.


Marvel has wanted to do with its Disney+ projects by using different formats because time limits or traditional releases much less restrict it.
