Disney’s FX has ordered a fifth season of “Snowfall”, which has recently returned for a fourth season on FX and Hulu.
The fourth season is set in the mid 1980s, where Ronald Reagan has just won his re-election campaign. Demand for cocaine is high with dealers benefiting, including Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), but they are also starting to realize the damage drugs are doing to people and places they love. The LAPD starts diverting much more money to the ‘war on drugs,’ while the government is concerned that one of their own may be involved with the growing epidemic. Franklin is forced to regain control of his business and try to stop the rising gang violence before it gets out of control.”
FX Entertainment president Eric Schrier said:
“Snowfall has come into its own as one of the best dramas on TV. Its quality and audience growth is a remarkable achievement for a show in its fourth season. Damson Idris and our entire cast continue to deliver outstanding performances every episode.”
The series was created by the late John Singleton, Eric Amadio and Dave Andron.
All four seasons are currently available on Hulu and the first two seasons of the show are currently available on Disney+ in some countries including the United Kingdom and Ireland.
