With the start of a brand new month comes the unfortunate news that Disney+ has removed Flicka 2 in the United States.

“Flicka 2” tells the story of Carrie, who is a big-city teenager, whose life is turned upside down when she moves to a horse ranch in Wyoming to live with her father. But everything changes when Carrie meets Flicka, a wild, jet-black mustang who’s just as free-spirited and strong-willed as Carrie. The two form a special bond and Carrie opens her heart to her father and a handsome, local boy, but when a jealous rival puts Flicka’s life in jeopardy, Carrie must do whatever it takes to save her best friend.

“Flicka 2” will be heading to Starz on July 16th.  No return date for “Flicka2 ” to Disney+ in the United States has yet been announced.

Expect this removal to be temporary, as eventually, once the pre-existing contracts that were made before Disney purchased 20th Century Fox have expired, titles removed like “Flicka 2” should stay on Disney+.

While Disney doesn’t remove too many titles each month, unfortunately, Disney+ doesn’t advertise these removals in advance like other streaming services like Netflix or Hulu.

“Flicka 2” hasn’t been removed in other countries, as generally, the contract 20th Century Studios made with companies like HBO, only applied to the US.

What do you think of Disney removing “Flicka 2” from Disney+ in the US?

It's returning to Starz, even though it left in April.
