When Marvel Studios took over full control over Marvel Television, there were some shows already in development that have been released, including “Helstrom” and “M.O.D.A.K”.

One of the last remaining Marvel Television projects set to be released is the adult animated series “Hit Monkey”, based on the comic book character, who was first introduced in 2010.

“Marvel’s Hit Monkey,” tells the tale of a wronged Japanese snow monkey, mentored by the ghost of an American assassin, as he cuts a wide swath through the Tokyo underworld in this darkly cinematic and brutally funny revenge saga.

Entertainment Weekly has revealed during its Fall preview that the show will be coming to Hulu on Wednesday, 17th November.

Revenge can be sweet — and sometimes fuzzy. Based on the Marvel comic and created by Josh Gordon and Will Speck, this darkly comedic series follows a Japanese snow macaque whose clan meets a stranded hitman, Bryce (), and nurses him back to health. But when Bryce bites the dust, it’s up to the titular simian (guided by Bryce’s ghost) to follow in his assassin footsteps and seek vengeance. “He’s a character who is violent and temper amental but also deeply wounded and innocent,” says Gordon. —Devan Coggan.

In 2019, it was announced that Marvel Television was creating a series of animated shows including “Howard The Duck”, “Tigra & Dazzler”, “Hit Monkey”, and “M.O.D.A.K”, who would eventually come together for “The Offenders”.  But when Marvel Studios took over, a number of these projects were cancelled.

With the show set to debut on Hulu on Wednesday 17th November, I’d also expect this series to be released on Disney+ internationally as a Star Original, either on the same day or shortly afterwards.

Are you looking forward to watching “Hit Monkey”?

Helstrom, WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Modok, Loki, Hawkeye, Hit Monkey, Assembled, Legends, Black Widow, Shang Chi, Venom, Eternals, Spider-Man No Way Home. A number of decent documentaries. Have I missed anything? Seems to me Marvel fans like me have little to complain about.
