The upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series has suffered from many delays due to multiple reasons, including the pandemic and script issues. Recently Ewan McGregor revealed that due to his reaction to the second jab of Moderna vaccine, production on the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” Disney+ series has temporarily impacted as he couldn’t do his usual lightsaber training.
He recently spoke with THR to promote his upcoming Netflix series “Halston” and had to even reschedule the interview due to feeling rough. He explained:
“For months, we’ve been doing these monster, two-and-a-half-hour sessions of sword fights and hand-to-hand stuff. But there was no way it was happening this week. Not with a 100.7 fever.”
The side effects didn’t last long, and within a couple of days, everything returned to normal, but it continues to show why the pandemic is still causing a multitude of issues for Disney.
With mammoth 2-hour training sessions taking place for months hopefully, this means we’re going to be seeing plenty of lightsaber battles and many more action scenes.
“Obi-Wan Kenobi” is set 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith”, where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
