Preparation for the upcoming Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series is currently underway and recently Ewan McGregor appeared on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to promote his new Netflix series “Halston ” and was asked about stepping back into the role of Obi-Wan

“It feels great” and added “the costume is probably slightly different than you might expect, but to go back into the role, shall we say, is great,” he explained. “It’s all still there, it feels good. It’s great scripts and great people to work with and it’s great, I’m having a great time.”

Filming is currently underway for the upcoming Disney+ series and are using the “Volume” studio, which was developed for “The Mandalorian”.

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” is set 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith”, where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.


The upcoming Star Wars Disney+ series “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, which includes Ewan McGregor returning as the iconic Jedi Master, with Hayden Christensen also returning as Darth Vader.  Also starring in the series are Moses Ingram, Maya Erskine, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
