Disney has dived into its large catalogue of franchises it picked up by purchasing 20th Century Fox and made a brand new instalment in the “Home Alone” series called “Home Sweet Home Alone”.   This new film will star Archie Yates, who you might know from JoJo Rabbit, as the kid who has been left home alone and as you’d expect hijinks aren’t too far behind.

This will be the sixth “Home Alone” film and is actually the third film made by Disney, as Fox and Disney collaborated on making the fourth and fifth films.   Filming began in February 2020, but due to the pandemic, filming was halted and the film’s release was delayed.

So when a married couple attempting to retrieve a priceless heirloom set their sights on the Mercer family’s home, it is up to Max to protect it from the trespassers…and he will do whatever it takes to keep them out. Hilarious hijinks of epic proportions ensue, but despite the absolute chaos, Max comes to realize that there really is no place like home sweet home.
