Disney has announced that the 20th Century Studios animated film “Everyone’s Hero” is coming to Disney+ in the United States and Canada on Friday 7th May.  No international Disney+ release has yet been announced.

The film is about a boy who comes to a turning point in his life when he faces a critical decision: Should he take a chance and possibly become a hero, or should he play it safe? Though the odds are stacked against him, he begins a cross-country adventure to return Babe Ruth’s baseball bat before the deciding game of the 1932 World Series.

“Everyone’s Hero” is directed and executive produced by Christopher Reeve. It stars William H. Macy, Rob Reiner, Brian Dennehy, Raven-Symoné, Robert Wagner, Jake T. Austin, Forest Whitaker and Whoopi Goldberg.

“Everyone’s Hero” is currently available on HBO Max and will be leaving the streaming service on April 30th.
