Walt Disney Studios is creating a new musical-comedy called “Bob: The Musical”, which has just signed Channing Tatum up to star in the lead role, which follows a regular guy who can suddenly hear the inner songs of everyone’s heart after suffering a blow to the head. His reality instantly becomes a musical, much to his dismay.

The movie has been in development since 2004 and has been written by Allan Loeb, who previously wrote “Rock of Ages”.  The movie is being produced by Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan. Tripp Vinson, Chris Bender and Channing Tatum.

Disney is now looking for a director for the movie, it hasn’t yet been confirmed if this movie will be released in theatres or if it will be straight to Disney+.
