Today is the day, Disney+ launches across the United States and Canada, along with the Netherlands.   Disney+ is the dedicated streaming home for entertainment from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more.

Disney+ provides a direct-to-consumer, ad-free experience with a variety of original feature films, documentaries, scripted and unscripted series, and short-form content, along with unprecedented access to Disney’s incredible library of films and television series.

The service will also be the exclusive streaming home for films released by The Walt Disney Studios in 2019 and beyond, including Captain Marvel, Dumbo, Avengers: Endgame, Aladdin, Toy Story 4, The Lion King, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Frozen 2, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

It also includes lots of new “Originals”, which can only be found on Disney+ including Lady & The Tramp, Star Wars: The Mandalorian, High School Musical: The Musical – The Series, Encore, The World According To Jeff Goldblum, Noelle and much more.

Beginning November 15th, most new episodes of each series will premiere on Fridays at 12:01 AM PT.

Disney+ will launch in Australia and New Zealand on November 19th, it will then be released in the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Ireland and Spain on March 31st.  It will be expected to be in most major markets within the first two years.

The service will be available on a wide range of mobile and connected devices, including gaming consoles, streaming media players, and smart TVs.

Subscriptions are priced at $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year. They automatically renew, with the option to cancel at any time before each renewal date. All new Disney+ subscribers will be eligible for a 7-day free trial.

Consumers in the U.S. will have the opportunity to purchase a bundled offering of Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu (with ads) for $12.99 per month.

  • Amazon (Fire TV Devices, Fire TV Edition Smart TVs, and Fire Tablets)
  • Apple (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple TV, and fully integrated with the Apple TV app; customers can subscribe to Disney+ via in-app purchase)
  • Google (Android phones, Android TV devices, Google Chromecast and Chromecast built-in devices)
  • LG Smart TVs with webOS
  • Microsoft (Xbox One)
  • Samsung Smart TVs
  • Sony / Sony Interactive Entertainment (all Android based Sony TVs and PlayStation®4)
  • Roku (Roku® streaming players and Roku TV™ models)

Disney+ offers subscribers high-quality and commercial-free viewing, up to four concurrent streams, unlimited downloads on up to ten devices, personalized recommendations, and the ability to set up to seven different profiles. Additionally, parents have the ability to set Kids Profiles that create an easy -to-navigate interface to access age-appropriate content.

The service provides viewers of all ages an unrivaled collection of new and library content from the world-class creators of The Walt Disney Company – the visionaries representing nearly a century of creativity from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more.
