As part of Disney Juniors Fun Fest event, which was held on Friday at the Disney California Adventure theme park, a brand new short-form series featuring Winnie the Pooh and his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood.

The musical short-form series is currently going by the working title of “Winnie The Pooh”, so it is likely that the series is given a unique name before it launches.

Very little has been announced about this series, but it would also be an interesting way of introducing a brand new generation to the characters in the Hundred Acre Wood.

At the Disney Junior Fan Fest, Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis revealed the show and said:

“Disney Junior is already home to some of the most beloved preschool programming, and today, we have unveiled the next slate of content that is sure to entertain preschool kids for years to come.  As with Disney Junior’s current slate, each of these projects is unique, inspiring and encompasses all of the brand values that have come to represent Disney Junior over the last decade — storytelling with heart that resonates with both kids and parents. From beloved icons such as Mickey and Spidey to new stories and characters, this slate further solidifies Disney Junior as THE home for preschoolers.”

“Winnie The Pooh” will air across Disney+ and Disney Junior platforms through 2024

I hope its good. The (now not so) New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is one of the first animated shows Disney made, and its still one of the best. Plus Pooh is almost 100 years old, and the Disney version is almost 50. Hopefully they don’t try to modernize him too much, or be just for little kids.
