The global rollout of Disney+ continues as, over the weekend, Disney+ Hotstar launched in Indonesia.  With over 500 movies and 7000 episodes of content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and Marvel.  This includes all of the Disney+ Originals such as Lady and the Tramp and the Mandalorian, in addition to content from National Geographic and the Disney Channel.

Disney+ Hotstar also offers over 300 Indonesian films from a number of companies including PT Screenplay Bumilangit Produksi, PT Falcon, PT Frontera Inter Media, PT Kharisma Starvision Plus, PT MD Pictures, PT Rapi Film and PT Tiga Belas Entertainment.    New movies included on Disney+ Hotstar include the recently released Sabar Ini Ujian.

Upcoming Indonesian films coming to Disney+ in the future include Benyamin Biang Kerok 2, Malik & Elsa, Warkop DKI Reborn 4 and Once Upon A Time in Indonesia.

As part of the launch of Disney+ Hotstar, there are many movies available for free including Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok, Cars 3, Cinderella, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Bao and Titanic: 20 Years Later With James Cameron, along with local content such as Jodhaa Akbar and Danur.  These are only available for free until September 30th.

Disney has teamed up with communication company Telkomsel, to offer the service, since credit card payments are less common in Indonesia.

It’s priced at Rp 39,000 per month ($2.64) or Rp 199,000 ($13.5) annually.  There are also some additional options that come with extra mobile data.  Disney+ Hotstar is available via the official website, along with Android and iOS smartphones, plus on selected Android TVs.
