With just a few weeks until the launch of Disney+, it’s been announced that the Disney Family Movies on demand service will he closed down on October 31st.

This follows other streaming platforms being shut down, to streamline Disney’s new approach to offering its content on demand via Disney+ and Hulu.

The official website has said:

So long, Disney Family Movies…

This service is no longer available for new subscriptions. But there are so many more On Demand channels to explore. If you already subscribe to Disney Family Movies, you can keep watching commercial-free until October 31, 2019.

Disney Family Movies has been running for 11 years and costs between $5-$10 per month. It is currently available via a wide selection of pay-TV providers in the U.S including Comcast Xfinity, Charter Communications, Verizon Fios, Cox Communications, Altice USA’s Optimum and AT&T’s U-verse.
