Shortly after the release of Disney+ in some Western European countries and in India, Disney announced its new streaming service has hit 50 million paid subscribers worldwide.

According to a forecast from Guggenheim Securities for the Hollywood Reporter, they are predicting that Disney+ could hit 226 million subscribers by the end of fiscal year 2024.

They originally had predicted that Disney+ would have an estimated 135 million subscribers by 2024. At last years Investor Day event, Disney announces it was predicting to have between 60 and 90 million subscribers by the end of 2024.

The analyst has adjusted their predicted Disney+ subscriber forecast from 59 million to 74 million in the United States and internationally they are predicting that it could hit 76 million to 153 million subscribers.


With Disney+ set to launch later this year in Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific later this year, the international subscriber count is going to drastically increase.  And once the new Marvel Disney+ exclusive shows hit the streaming service, that will also see another rise in subscriber numbers.
