“Zombies” has been one of the most popular recent Disney Channel Original Movies franchise, and it should come as no surprise to hear that a third movie is currently in development.

Earlier this year, Disney released a video in Latin America confirming the film was coming in 2021 to the Disney Channel.

According to “The DisInsider”, work on “Zombies 3″, is now underway, and it’s going by the working title of ” Out of this World”, which could be an indication of where the story is going next.  As the first movie introduced Zombies to high school and the second film introduced werewolves.  So could aliens be next?

The logline for the upcoming film does suggest this is going to happen:

“In the monster-plagued town of Seabrook, the local high school has three separate cliques: Cheerleaders, Zombies, and Werewolves. When alien tweens arrive to bring peace, they find instead the Earth-like disharmony begins to infect them.”

Other details on the upcoming film have also been revealed. Paul Hoen will be returning to direct the film, but no actors are currently attached to the film. However, all of the original cast members are expected to return.

Filming on “Zombies 3” is currently planned to be happening from the end of May until mid-July in Toronto, Canada.

Both “Zombies” and “Zombies 2” are available on Disney+ to stream now.

Are you excited to see another “Zombies” film?
