20th Century Fox has announced the cast for the upcoming mystery-thriller movie, “Death On The Nile”, which is based on the book by Agatha Christie. Production is now underway in the U.K. and will be shoot at Longcross Studios near London, as well as on location in Egypt.

This movie is a sequel to the 2017 hit Murder on the Orient Express and will once again see Kenneth Branagh return as the director, in addition to playing the detective, Hercule Poirot.

The cast will include Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders and Letitia Wright.

“Crimes of passion are dangerously sexy.  Agatha Christie has written a riveting story of emotional chaos and violent criminality and Michael Green has once again written a screenplay to match. With a cherished group of long-time artistic collaborators and a brilliant international cast, it is truly a pleasure to join Disney, Fox and Agatha Christie, Ltd. in bringing this daring thriller to the big screen. There are significant new twists, an awe-inspiring desert landscape and a chance to celebrate big screen entertainment in glorious 65 millimetre celluloid!”

Said Kenneth Branagh.

“Death On The Nile” will be coming to cinemas on October 9th, 2020.  Since it’s a 21st Century Fox Movie, it would still come under the existing HBO deal, so it will be a couple of years after release, before it can be available on Hulu or Disney+.
