Recently it was revealed that Disney is set to bring a new version of the classic Disney Afternoon animated series, “Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers”, to Disney+ in a live-action/CGI film.

According to the DisInsider, the original voice of Dale and Zipper, Corey Burton, is returning to reprise those roles in the film.

It’s also expect that other voice actors from the original series will be returning including Tress MacNeille (Chip and Gadget) and Jim Cummings (Monterey Jack), however this hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.

The new Disney+ film will be directed by Akiva Schaffer, who has previously directed “Hot Rod”. With “How I Met Your Mother” writers Dan Gregor and Doug Mand working on the script.  Larry Fong will be the cinematographer for the new film, he previously worked on  “Batman V Superman”.

In the original series, the chipmunks are leaders of a secret international organization devoted to tackling unsolved mysteries and mysterious oddball crimes, that are just too small for the police to deal with.

The “Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers” animated series is available now on Disney+
