New casting details on the upcoming Hulu/Star Original series “How I Met Your Mother” sequel/spin-off series, “How I Met Your Father” have recently been revealed by Deadline, who are reporting that Chris Lowell has joined the new comedy series.

Set in the near future, the show will follow Sophie (Duff) telling her son the story of how she met his father back in the year 2021, when Sophie and her close-knit group of friends were figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.

In this new series, Chris will be playing the role of Jesse, who is a friend of Sophie.  He’s smart but cynical when it comes to love.

Chris Lowell has previously starred in Netflix’s wrestling series “Glow” and the Oscar-winning film, “Promising Young Woman”.

The 10-episode series will be coming to Hulu in the United States. So we should expect this series to also be released internationally on Disney+ as a Star Original.

Are you looking forward to this new series?
