Disney dives into the 20th Century Studios archive for a remake of “Cheaper By The Dozen”, but given a modern twist, with Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff, starring as the parents of a blended family of 12, the Bakers and this film navigates their hectic home life while simultaneously managing their all-day breakfast restaurant.

The social media embargo on the brand new Disney+ film has been lifted and here are some of the early reactions from the film, including mine.

#Cheaperbythedozen is a fun, family-friendly film, that I enjoyed, but it’s best not to compare to the 2003 version. It deals with modern issues like bullying & racism but keeps it lighthearted. Worth checking out when it comes to #Disneyplus tomorrow pic.twitter.com/lV1Cydj0u1

#CheaperByTheDozen I really missed the pranks and the chaos that the original brought to the table. This installment is watchable, it just lacked all the fun of the original. It takes itself too seriously that it ends up leaving the kids and the chaotic fun out of the equation. pic.twitter.com/HGmmaDDd32

#CheaperByTheDozen is everything you’d expect from a family friendly comedy remake made for modern day audiences. Appreciate what they tried to do by addressing blended families and race, but it doesn’t go far enough. Wish it did more. That being said, it’s fun, safe, and warm. pic.twitter.com/ITldTFNqOr

Cheaper By The Dozen is not what I was expecting, but in the best way possible. Yes, it’s a comedy that is a whole ton of chaotic fun, but it’s also completely unafraid to dive into social & racial issues that are plaguing the world today. Incredibly important. #CheaperByTheDozen pic.twitter.com/0CdjsWIzOg

#CheaperByTheDozen is a fun and grounded reimagining, but it takes itself seriously at times and struggles to balance social justice issues with hilarity and chaos of being a parent. Storylines are rushed and not every character gets a chance to shine. Overall, it was enjoyable. pic.twitter.com/0QaCgmEEoJ

#CheaperByTheDozen is a compelling reimagining that courageously takes itself seriously without compromising the joyous wonder of its predecessors. A fun captivating way to breathe new life into the franchise and introduce a new generation to one of America’s favorite families. pic.twitter.com/YaI3kkVDIX
